Today I left CERN. I can never stay long in paradise - I always get expelled for some ridiculous reason. This time it might be because - I lost hope that the LHC would be running soon
- I spilled coffee on Witten the other day at CosmoCoffee
- I discovered that John Ellis' beard is fake
- My contract has expired
I suppose blogging will be perturbed until I settle in a new vacuum.
Good luck in the hunt for a new position. Keep in mind there are three parts to the Paradise lost saga.

Arggh get over it you big wuss, while I'm teaching legendre tranformations to 85 british first year undergraduates who burst into tears at the sight of integration by parts you'll be running around the states somewhere doing research. My heart bleeds....

Sorry to hear you have left paradise. As Carl points out, I am about to leave one kind of paradise for another. Just in time, because the current 'paradise' appears to be lost.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Paradize is not the most inspiring place to do science. Adrenalin secretion is important for doing science and some place between CERN and the gloomy outskirts of civilization, where the crackpots live could be better place.
